Bridgton Veterinary Hospital (BVH), built in 1981, is one of the only hospitals in Maine offering a full range of dental services. Our mission is to provide the highest quality in veterinary medical care in a friendly, relaxed setting.  We hope you will refer your family and friends to our practice.

Our Services include wellness visits and vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, radiology, an in-house laboratory for blood work, and Home Again microchip identification. BVH has been a member of the American Animal Hospital Association since 1990. Only 14% of all animal hospitals are AAHA accredited! All accredited hospitals are inspected by trained practice consultants to ensure that they meet over 900 of AAHA's standards. These standards are in 12 specific areas such as dentistry, surgery and anethesia, pain management, patient care, radiology services, pet medical records, staff continuing education, client services, housekeeping and maintenance.

Don't think we are leaving cats out!

Dr. Wheeler's kitten Pumpkin has been caught pushing houseplants off the edge of his loft, just to watch them smash all over the first floor. Sandy's cat Penny bangs the cabinet doors at 3:30 in the morning to be fed.

Cats are incredibly smart, and that can lead to a lot of trouble. We want to hear the best tale of mischief that your cat has caused. You can e-mail it to us at office@bridgtonvets.com. The staff will choose the top 10 stories and display them at the open house on July 19th. Those attending will vote for their favorite and the winner will be posted on our website!
